Most of the people who come to Central Hypnotherapy with an eating issue are consuming too much, and want to reduce their intake of food. But some people have the opposite problem: a lack of appetite, anxiety over eating or even a mental block which means they can't eat certain foods at all.
ANXIETY AND APPETITE
Many of us will have noticed that anxiety can affect appetite either way: it can trigger comfort eating, or it can make you go off food completely. Hannah's mother contacted me when her daughter became so anxious and stressed that she was unable to eat breakfast at all, and was sometimes even sick at the start of the day.
In the teenage years, the pace of change, the pressures of education and tensions within the peer group can all become overwhelming, and anxiety is a common reaction. Let me stress this very important point: anxiety is NOT an illness, it is an emotional reaction and it can be turned OFF with hypnotherapy. What the brain is trying to do is make you feel so physically uncomfortable that you will avoid whatever or whoever is upsetting you. But avoiding life's challenges doesn't help you overcome them; and most people don't WANT to avoid life, they just don't want to feel anxious!
So generating anxiety is a bad strategy by the Subconscious mind, and all I needed to do was explain this to Hannah's Subconscious mind, along with a few other things that needed pointing out. This was her mother's assessment of the results after just one session:
Came to see you with my daughter Hannah in February regarding anxiety-related problems: not eating breakfast, feeling and being sick. Hannah is now eating breakfast in the morning, a different person, no sickness, much happier and confident - really pleased with how things have turned out - would definitely recommend your services!"
So! Another happy bunny. If someone you know is having a stressful time - whether it is affecting their appetite or not - this is how quickly and effectively hypnosis can solve the problem. Call me (Chris) right away on 0161-474-8120 or call/text any time, any day on 07748 838 644.
