Addictions and Hypnotherapy

Posted: Wednesday, March 29, 2017

Got a Thank You card in the post again this month:

"To Chris,

Just to say thank you for helping us overcome our addictions and setting us free, may God bless you and keep you always, L & C"

Now to be honest I'm not sure what addictions those were, but it hardly matters as I routinely shut down all kinds of compulsive habits and even real addictions with hypnotherapy, and it is pretty much the same procedure every time.  Some people tell me they are addicted to sugar, because they can't stop eating chocolate.  Some clients say that they have a terrible addiction to cannabis, or cocaine.  People have been described to me as a "crack addict", or seek help with their gambling "addiction".

But if the cocaine user is addicted because cocaine is addictive, why isn't nearly everyone addicted to sugar? Most people take sugar on a regular basis but would not call themselves an addict, nor do they feel like one. And what causes the gambler's "addiction", when they aren't consuming anything?

The good news is that most "addictions" only look like addictions on the face of it: they are in fact compulsive habits and quite easy to shut down with hypnosis, usually in one session.  No willpower is required and relapse is far less likely after hypnotherapy than any other method of quitting because all the other approaches are really just an attempt to drag the habit to a halt with willpower, which is nototiously hard to do!

So if you'd rather do it the easy way, why not call now?  0161 474 8120 Office Hours, or call/text any time, any day on 07748 838 644.  You'll be glad you did!  Sending thank you cards is optional!  more about drug issues
