“I feel like shouting from the rooftops I’VE HAD HYPNOTHERAPY… I’M FREEEEEE!”

This is the feedback from Catherine received today, and Catherine was very doubtful that hypnotherapy was going to stop her drinking. During the session she frowned a lot and kept questioning how it could possibly work. She WANTED it to – which is why it did – but she has that kind of enquiring mind that tends to doubt anything she doesn’t already understand. Didn’t stop her from being successful though!

Recently a client was telling me about the weeks they spent in The Priory at great expense – who has the time? Who has the money for that? Catherine’s experience is the result of ONE session at Central Hypnotherapy, and she spent the whole time (just two hours, not weeks!) relaxing in a comfy chair and there was NO group therapy or any of that stuff. Her response?

“Hi Chris, It’s Catherine. I’m amazed! I can’t even begin to describe how different I feel. I feel like a totally different person already… I’m feeling enthusiastic, raring to go but above all HAPPY! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!”

Well of course I congratulated her and asked if it would be okay to add these comments to the site – I never do that without asking first – she said:

“Yes of course you can use my comments. It was other peoples’ comments along with your information on your site that made me contact you. Yesterday I was worried about what I’d say if someone asked why I wasn’t drinking alcohol… today I don’t care, I feel like shouting from the rooftops I’VE HAD HYPNOTHERAPY… I’M FREEEEE!!! Once again thank you so much, you are amazing.”

Actually what is amazing is the human Subconscious mind, which can shut down a drinking habit in one two-hour session, as I have demonstrated on many, many occasions. Would you like to experience such a liberating surprise? Catherine thought she was stuck with that problem and had no faith in being able to overcome it, but we still achieved it in one go. “Amazed” “Enthusiastic” “Raring to go but above all HAPPY!” That’s the Central Hypnotherapy effect. 0161-474-8120 or 07748 838 644. Whether you want to just take a break from drinking, stop altogether or just cut down… go for it – you’ll be glad you did!

Now you might think that nausea and travel sickness are not connected to phobias – but you’d be wrong! The Subconscious mind has a number of tactics it can use to force you to avoid something, and fear is only one of them. In phobias, fear is used as a lever to steer you away from an object or situation that is being regarded as threatening in some way, and feelings of nausea, dizziness and faintness can also be used in the same way.

The good news is, this can be stopped altogether with expert hypnotherapy help, usually in one session, as Callum found out last month:

“Hi Chris,

Just thought I’d send you a quick email to let you know how I’ve been getting on since I came to see you a couple of weeks ago.

After the session on the 15th I noticed a difference pretty much immediately. I had been feeling sick in car journeys, and even was on the way to the appointment, however on the drive home I was absolutely fine! I haven’t been panicked after meals like I usually am, nor have I been wary when using public transport.

Overall I am very happy with the outcome and have already recommended you to a friend.

Thanks again,

Callum”

That is how quickly and easily you can get rid of problems like this at Central Hypnotherapy. Why not call me (Chris) now for more information? 0161-474-8120 or 07748 838 644. You’ll be glad you did.

“Hi Chris,
Just wanted to let you know that I still can’t believe that I have not had a cigarette since I walked out of your office 10 days 2hrs and 57 mins ago! (Not that I am counting!) I must admit I was so sceptical that I did not believe you were actually going get me to stop smoking. Well I’m eating humble pie at the moment, and my office colleagues think you are a miracle worker!!
Thank you so much.

Regards
Sandra”

Actually it is not a miracle, and Sandra’s belief that hypnotherapy would not work is quite normal, but notice how that did not stop her from being successful! Her co-workers clearly did not believe it would work either, but that is only because they don’t understand it.

A habit like smoking is just the automatic repetition of a familiar behaviour. Smokers’ cravings are reminder signals produced by the Subconscious mind, and hypnosis is simply a way of getting new information to the Subconscious mind. The hypnotherapist explains to the Subconscious mind that the habit is no longer required, and requests that the reminder signals be shut down. There’s a lot more detail in it than that, but that is essentially what happens in our Stop Smoking Session.

You walk in a smoker, you walk out a non-smoker. No cravings, no bad moods, no weight-gain. Does that sound like the kind of solution that would suit you? Call 0161-474-8120 now to find out more, or 07748 838 644 out of office hours. You’ll be glad you did!

“Hiya Chris! It’s Chris from Saturday. I just wanted to say thanks again, results are brilliant, I can’t believe it – cravings are gone!” This was the text message I received this evening.

Now, ask yourself this: if cravings were really ‘the body needing cocaine’, how could they be gone after a single two-hour session of hypnotherapy? The answer is that they could not. Either the body needs cocaine or it doesn’t – so if it doesn’t need it after the session, we have to question whether it ever needed it before the session or whether cravings are actually something else. This is how I discovered what they really are, and how to shut them down.

Cravings are strong, insistent feelings produced in the body by the brain. Through regular repetition, the cocaine use accidentally becomes a compulsive habit and the craving is the ‘compulsive’ bit. Hypnosis is simply a way to get information to the part of the brain that controls this: the Subconscious. Both habit and cravings can be stopped on request, but hypnotherapy is the ONLY way to do that with immediate effect.

Hypnotherapy can shut down cravings for cocaine, ketamine, cannabis, alcohol, tobacco, chocolate or any kind of food, and I’ve done this for thousands of individuals with hypnosis over the years to stop all those habits. All I need from the client is a genuine wish to be rid of the problem, which Chris certainly had… but he also had some doubts. Not about wanting to quit, but about hypnotherapy. Before making the appointment, he had been looking at some really expensive options for tackling his cocaine habit, and he couldn’t quite understand why they were charging hundreds of pounds, and I wasn’t!

“You say you can shut this down in one session – most of them aren’t saying that – but they’re charging far more than you! If you can really do that, why aren’t you charging more than them and really cleaning up?” (He’s a businessman himself, you see!)

So I explained. How many people with a coke habit can put their hands on hundreds of pounds in cash? A few can, but most of them can’t, so if I charged top dollar I’d only be able to help rich cokeheads. What about all the other users? Also, I don’t think anyone should be charging hundreds of pounds. They should be helping hundreds of users, that’s the win-win situation, isn’t it?

Also, I was a drug user myself for many years. I have genuine concern and respect for people in that situation, so I want to make sure they can ALL afford to come to Central Hypnotherapy, and get the best help there is!

Call 0161-474-8120 for more info, or call/text anytime to 07748 838 644. It’s okay if you have mixed feelings about quitting, by the way. that’s normal, that’s why it takes two hours – everyone’s a little different!

“How can I stop drinking too much?”

Hypnotherapy is the quickest and easiest way to get out of difficulty with alcohol. Cravings for alcohol can be shut down with hypnosis and the habit either halted completely or changed. There is no other way to do this in a single event, it can only be done by an expert in a hypnotherapy session. Stopping altogether is one option, cutting out the excess is another and taking a break from alcohol is also a popular choice, after which we re-introduce it without the excess. Some people require another session later to maintain their success, some do not.

Some people do want to stop drinking completely. Not everyone does. This way, you have a choice.

Does that sound all right for you? Just call me (Chris) on 0161-474-8120 during office hours or text/call any time, any day on 07748 838 644.

London 2012 has, most British people would agree, been pretty inspiring! Team GB surpassed expectations and won a very respectable clutch of medals – and I bet they did it entirely without hypnotherapy!

Which makes me wonder how many more we could have won.

Winning is all about belief. Training and hard work might win you a place in an Olympic team, but being the best in the world – and proving it when it really counts, when the pressure is on, when you only have one chance – that is about self-belief, and there’s nothing quite like hypnosis for creating unshakeable self-belief and determination.

Maybe a few people don’t need it: Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah, Usain Bolt… but what about everyone else?

Life is a competition. Could YOU use unshakeable self-belief and determination?

In my work as a therapist, I meet a lot of people and although work-related stress problems can affect anyone, there are certain professions and occupations that seem to be particularly hard on the nerves. Social work, the police, education and the NHS immediately spring to mind and the number of working days lost to these employers must be huge.

A great deal of this can be avoided with a little bit of relaxing therapy. Prevention is better than cure, and hypnotherapy is the fastest and most efficient way to eliminate residual stress BEFORE it causes illness and time off, or early retirement due to ill health.

Most employers do not know this, but they do know that stress can build up to the point where good personnel leave, or crack under the strain but because the employer doesn’t know what to do about it, the issue is swept under the carpet until it becomes a crisis or a direct loss to their business. Employers can also be legally liable for their employees’ stress-related illnesses.

Don’t do what “most employers” do – which is nothing, until it is too late, then they curse their luck. The really smart employers save themselves a small fortune by sending their stressed-out staff members here to Central Hypnotherapy in Stockport, and they are truly astonished by the results. Even a single hypnosis session with Stress Management Specialist Chris Holmes can make a massive difference.

A happy workforce is a productive workforce. You know it makes sense.

More and more people are coming to Central Hypnotherapy to get rid of their cocaine habit, or their drinking habit, or ketamine, cannabis or crack habit. I specialise in these issues, and word gets around.

Not everyone wants to stop using, obviously. And it is not my business to persuade them.

But there comes a point in any drug habit when there is no longer much pleasure in it at all, and it is really just mindless repetition of what you always do. It becomes dull, unrewarding, expensive, exhausting and not much fun at all. Most users, at that point, would rather be a non-user, especially if there was an easy way to change it.

There is. But this brings me to a couple of common myths about hypnotherapy, which I would like to dispel here and now:

1) “You have to believe in hypnosis for it to work.” RUBBISH! Most of my clients are astonished to find that it works.

2) “If you’ve had hypnotherapy before, it won’t work again.” RUBBISH! Relapses are easy to fix.

3) “You’ve got to really want to quit, or it won’t work.” WHO MAKES THIS STUFF UP? It is quite normal to have mixed feelings about quitting smoking, drinking or any drug. As long as you have NO SERIOUS OBJECTION to being free of the habit after the session, that’s enough. You can leave the rest to me.

If you ask anyone: “How do you go to sleep?” they will probably tell you the things they do before they go to sleep.

“Oh, I switch everything off, check the doors are locked, get ready for bed, clean my teeth, climb into bed and read for a bit… then I go to sleep.”

Yes, but HOW? How do you actually do that?

“I, er… I don’t know. I just lie there for a bit, until I drift off.”

Or as one client put it: “I sort of pretend to be asleep until I am”!

All well and good, so long as that happens. But what do you do if it doesn’t? If you go to your doctor with sleep problems, they’ll give you pills. But the problem with that is, either they don’t work, in which case they’re useless, or they do work, in which case how do you ever get off them? Most people don’t want to take pills for insomnia the rest of their lives, they want to be normal.

Hypnotherapy is the natural solution because there is a link between the sleep cycle and the Subconscious mind. Over the last decade I have helped many people to get back to a regular sleep cycle with the help of hypnosis and it usually only takes one session.

“How do I stop gambling?”

Over the past few years I have seen a big surge in the number of people coming to Central Hypnotherapy to overcome a gambling problem, and many of these have lost more money on internet games and Fixed Odds Betting Terminals (FOBTs) than anything else. This is partly because the games are much faster than more traditional forms of gambling, but also because players are being led to expect bigger payouts than they will actually get.

Fixed Odds Betting Terminals are responsible for the sudden increase in the number of bookmakers shops popping up in town centres all over the UK, and this is because the machines are very lucrative for the bookies, but the 2005 Gambling Act (for which the Blair government was shamefully responsible) limited the number of machines per shop to four. These machines take so much money from gamblers that it is worth opening another betting shop at high street rent prices, hire more staff and pay all the extra overheads just to get another four of those machines up and running.

Think about that.

Gamblers are told that the payout per spin is 97.3%. Sounds great, right? No: in fact, the real payout rate for these machines can be as low as 1%. This is explained by ROULETTEMACHINES.ORG:

“If the roulette payout on an FOBT is 97.3% per spin, this means that the probability of winning is reduced every single spin, this is something that the players are not informed about. On the second spin for example you will have a 97.3% of 97.3% chance of winning. This means if you play with the same amount of cash in one hour then your actual payout will be 1% of the cash you have played” http://www.roulettemachines.org/fobts-and-problem-gamblers/

By law, the machine has to clearly display the odds of winning to comply with the rules of The Gambling Commission but it does not have to explain how those odds diminish dramatically as described above. So although the machines are technically legal, they certainly ain’t FAIR. And they can take your money off you so fast, your head will spin faster than the virtual roulette wheel.

Fortunately, although gambling can become a very compulsive habit, there is a rescue service called Central Hypnotherapy based in Stockport, South Manchester, England U.K. If you have been ripped off by the gambling industry and reckon you’ve suffered enough, I can give you back your freedom in just ONE SESSION. Call me (Chris) now for more details on: 0161-474-8120 (Office Hours) 07748 838 644 (Anytime, including evenings or weekends).
