How many employers know full well that their employee has a bit of a problem? Days off with stress, conflict with other staff or the employer, inconsistent performances perhaps but on a good day, they're capable and talented so they don't want to let them go...
That's where I come in. Whether that problem is a personal one that they don't want to share with their employer - are they drinking too much? Is their marriage on the rocks? - a personality clash in the workplace or just an overload of stress, I can do something about it and transform that employee (or boss! Bosses have problems too!) into the great asset to the organisation that they really are, usually very quickly.
Days off cost employers - they are a dead loss. Nothing is solved by that either, so it's going to happen again, isn't it? Hypnotherapy is a small investment with huge benefits. If you've been to the homepage of this site you may have seen part of a reference I was given in 2005 after a two-year period of working with the staff of Keoghs Solicitors in Bolton, a big company with hundreds of employees. Keoghs is an organisation which is clearly aiming to be the best, so when they discovered the benefits of hypnotherapy for their staff, they extended the programme indefinitely from an experimental two week exercise until we frankly ran out of problems to fix. Here is the full text of their assessment of the Central Hypnotherapy effect after two years, during which I worked with about 150 members of staff at the Bolton site:
HYPNOTHERAPY AT KEOGHS
Keoghs has always taken Health & Safety seriously and has won many awards from the British Safety Council for irs track record in providing a safe working environment, so extending that to promoting a healthy one was a logical next step. A Well Being programme was devised early in 2003 to help staff succeed with their New Year's Resolutions, particularly those who wanted to stop smoking or lose weight. To help us develop our programme we engaged Chris Holmes of Central Hypnotherapy who gave a presentation to staff on what hypnotherapy was about, dispelling any uncertainties and a few myths! We then planned our programme to include individual sessions which quickly developed to include other lifestyle or well-being issues such as insomnia, anxiety, lack of confidence and phobias.
The programme has been a resounding success - we sought feedback from all who have attended and the results have been phenomenal. There have been numerous complimentary remarks made about Chris and his ability to convey confidence in the whole process. We have received many notes of thanks from employees who claim the session to have been a life-changing experience.
As a firm Keoghs genuinely cares for its employees and our intention is to make it a great place to work. We believe that if employees are happy, healthy and feel valued they repay you, so it's a win-win situation. Last year Keoghs ranked 49th in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For Survey - this year we moved up to 25th place even though the competition was far greater.
