Hypnotherapy help with acute or chronic anxiety

Posted: Friday, December 11, 2020

"Hi Chris, been feeling barely any anxiety since our hypnosis session... I'd go as far as to say I'm not feeling anxious whatsoever, but I keep thinking any day now it will come..." J.M. Nov 21 2020

This is not unusual.  The Subconscious mind has switched off the anxiety reaction, but the conscious mind cannot understand where it has gone and can't quite believe it, for a while, so it expects the problem to return.  It won't.

The anxiety was caused by an abusive relationship which was now over, and I dealt with the aftermath during the two-hour session.  more about hypnotherapy for anxiety

J.M.: "I'm prescribed escitalopram 10 mg per day.  Since our session I've dropped to 1 every other day.  I'll do this for another week and then drop to 1 every three days, and see how I go."

Now: coming off anxiety medication WITH the help of expert hypnotherapy is not at all like doing it without.  Doctors wouldn't know this, but many of the common side effects of starting, or stopping medication are avoidable.  All the body's vital systems are under direct Subconscious control 24/7.  When a new medication is introduced, the conscious mind knows it's coming, and it knows what it is for... but the Subconscious certainly doesn't, and it often reacts in concern and confusion.  This is why the reported lists of side effects for any medication can be long, and surprisingly different: individual Subconscious minds may decide to react in completely different ways, but none of them are happy about it.

These adverse reactions often settle down after some continuous use, but there can be further disturbances if the medication is changed or stopped, especially if it is an abrupt change, like starting it was.

Advised of the change in advance, and the reason for it, the Subconscious mind will not kick up a fuss about starting or stopping any medication, especially if it is done gradually.

*Update from J.M. 17/02/21:  "Hi Chris, just wanted to send you some feedback and an update.  I'm 9 weeks free from medication now.  I was expecting my anxiety to increase as I came off the tablets, but nothing!  My anxiety levels are at an all-time low.  Also, no recurring traumatic dreams.  Not one since our last hypnotherapy session... I have not felt this balanced in a very long time. Amazing results and I would recommend your sessions to anyone going through a difficult time.  Thanks Chris."

The traumatic dreams were caused by the events of the abusive relationship, so they vanished once I had dealt with that using hypnotherapy to get the message to the Subconscious mind that it was all over, it wasn't going to happen again and it was now safe to let the past go.

If you have similar issues, don't suffer!  Call Chris now on 0161 474 8120 (Office Hours), or call/text any time, any day on 07748 838 644.  I'll be delighted to help.
