"Thank you so much Chris - just one hypnotherapy session with you and I've completely moved away from the unhelpful habits that were previously holding me back. It's like I've got my life and freedom back and I feel much more relaxed and confident.
"If anyone is thinking about the steps they need to take to get their life back on track then I can wholeheartedly recommend that they start with a phone call to you at Central Hypnotherapy. This has to be the most valuable couple of hours I have ever invested in myself. Thank you again! Best Wishes, Robin." 3/9/21
Most people don't know this, but nothing you do is ever truly outside your control. Clients often say to me: "I hate the way cigarettes control me!" "My drinking is getting out of control", or "I can't control my anger", "my eating" or "my cocaine use". This is their conscious mind talking. Some of those things were never under conscious control anyway, like anger or eating. Emotions and eating habits are both under Subconscious control from birth. Smoking, alcohol or drug use, on the other hand, all started out being voluntary: controlled by the conscious mind and at first you could take it or leave it. For some people it stays that way because they don't do it to a regular or predictable pattern, so the behaviour remains under conscious control. Not a habit.
But if we fall into a routine - and it's quite hard not to, because our lives are organised into routines - there's a part of the Subconscious mind that watches out for any kind of behaviour that seems to be becoming predictable now; then it takes over the running of it, so that you no longer have to think about it in order to do it.
This is meant to be helpful, for your convenience... but in the case of toxic substances it just creates a problem, because the Subconscious mind has no way of assessing whether this is a 'good' habit or a 'bad' one - it is simply repeating a cycle of established behaviour. All I did for Robin was to explain to his Subconscious mind that we would like to shut the habits down now please, and also why. And so it did! All in one two-hour hypnosis session! more about this
