Hypnotherapy for better sleep

Sleep deprivation has long been used as a method of torture, and that doesn't need explaining to anyone who often has sleepless nights due to insomnia.  But how many people who have difficulty sleeping would know that the best help for regaining a good night's sleep is hypnosis?

Your Subconscious mind never sleeps anyway, it never switches off.  Only the conscious mind sleeps, and the sleep cycle of the conscious mind is controlled by the Subconscious, and has been since before you were even born.  But sleep patterns can become disturbed, and because the Subconscious doesn't sleep anyway, it can lose the thread of what it should be doing and become unsure of how to put things right.

The job of the hypnotherapist is to explain to the Subconscious mind of the sleep-deprived client that we need to amend the sleep cycle. 

Do you doubt that your Subconscious mind can correct your faulty sleep cycle?  It already has!  All of us were born with a sleep/waking pattern already in place, but as there is no night or day in the womb, it was out of sync with the sleep patterns of our parents.  But your brain quickly realised that it needed to synchronise sleeping (and also eventually eating) patterns to fit in with the parents... and it did!

So why should you need hypnotherapy help with correcting the sleep cycle now, if your Subconscious mind did that all by itself when you were only 1 year of age?  Because the guiding model of the parental cycle is no longer there, so there is no regular example to adjust to.
