Hypnosis, habits and addictions

"Well... my partner has battled with addiction for more than 15 years and finally found someone to help him.  The emotional feeling of relief to eradicating urges and bad thoughts has been overwhelming for him.  Finding Chris has been a Godsend!  He has been absolutely amazing, would completely recommend him to anyone... if you are ready to change, Chris is your guy!"  L J Martin December 2021

A lot of things get called 'addictions' - very few of them are.  The truth is, addictions and compulsive habits look the same, on the face of it, because the bottom line IS the same: you can't stop doing it!  But for rather different reasons.

Look at nail biting.  I bit my fingernails for 35 years, but I wasn't addicted to the keratin in my fingernails.  It was a compulsive habit, not an addiction.  Same with gamblers, or shopaholics.  But what if there's a drug involved?  Or alcohol?  Surely that's an addiction, right?

Wrong.  Some drugs are moreish, true: either because you still enjoy it, or just because the effects wear off quickly like with crack cocaine.  But the strong compulsive urge to do it again comes from the Subconscious mind - either because it was perceived to be pleasant right from the start, or because it has accidentally become habitual through regularity and repetition.

The hypnotherapy session simply shuts down the compulsive urge to repeat or go back to the old habit.  That's it.  Problem solved.  So if you need help to stop a toxic habitual pattern, hypnosis is the best way - and also the quickest and easiest way! - to quit for good.    more about this
