Cannabis and Other Drugs

Whatever a drug experience seems like at first - thrilling, exciting, different - once it develops into a habit it's a different story.  Habitual drug use gets expensive and you quickly build up a tolerance so you have to take more of the stuff to get a buzz out of it - maybe a lot more.  All the while the toxicity levels are going up, so it gets more and more risky and uncomfortable.  Sometimes you don't get much out of it at all, and so the money - and the time! - is just wasted really.

Nervous about the prospect of having hypnotherapy because you think you're going to be asleep or somehow not in control?  Worry Not!  You are never asleep and are always in control.  The experience is much more ordinary than you expect - it is the results that are exciting, not the process itself.

Drug habits waste a huge amount of time.  Time that could be spent doing something useful, or quality time with loved ones - and nothing to show for it at the end of the day.  Relationships can be ruined, and jobs or businesses lost.  It's a shame really, because all these people really wanted was to feel good.  But once drug use becomes a habit, it doesn't make the user feel good: it makes them feel bad in a roundabout way.

It's because there is a buzz - or the hope of a buzz, anyway - that users hesitate about stopping.  But if you come to Central Hypnotherapy, it doesn't even matter if you're not sure that you want to stop: most clients with drug issues are in two minds about it to some extent at least!  It's my job to find a way around that, and I will.   more about this

Before starting the process of shutting down the habit - be it cannabis, cocaine, ketamine, crack or any other drug - I explain the process in detail to each client, so they know exactly how it all works.  Nevertheless, the client doesn't really expect hypnotherapy to work - that's normal.  People are nearly always surprised when hypnosis works, because they are accustomed to the idea that they "can't stop", that it is an addiction or a dependency.  In truth, they just can't stop the willpower way!  Hypnotherapy is different: and it does help if your therapist understands drug habits.  I do: I took drugs for years!  Ssshh!
